Ok so you think you know what goes on behind the booth, now take that image crush it, crunch it, rip it, and toss it into the can cus were raising the bar – Live Mashups, all 4 faders up, Cue Juggling, Wind ups, Looping, Chopping, 8-bit crushing, tag teamin, and REWINDS !!

Today I bring you my latest bootleg. It’s pretty jackin, borrowing elements from b-more and turning it all upside down with some wonked-out fidget wobbles. It breaks down to funk-filled chops of the original tune, and slams back in with just the right amount of filth, keeping the horn stabs and guitar plucks prominent in the mix.

On the 22nd of September, we turned one year old over here at CYV™ (and yes, I know it is now October 7th),and for this joyous celebration, we have a plethora of goodies! We’ve come along way since the start of the blog — we really had no idea the readership was going to grow as fast as it did. It started off with just three members and was a place for us to post up tunes we liked; before we knew it, music was flowing into the inbox on the weekly. We’d like to thank all the readers who’ve been supporting us, especially those from our starting months, and also the many artists that have allowed us to share full quality material with everyone! Keep sending us your music!

We asked a couple of artists to put together some exclusive mixes for our birthday celebration, so thats how we can begin this post.

Many of you are aware of the recent Dandy Kid Records remix competition, in which two of your beloved CYV bloggers took part, along with 200-some fellow up-and-coming producers. Hello erry-bot-ee! Thought I’d post up my remix for the Dandy Kids Records “That’s the Game” Remix Competition. Been slaving over this one for the past week or two — finally got myself a decent mastering plugin so I feel better about posting some of my tunes. Ya’ll can peep my soundcloud here for some other originals! Anyways, I took the minimal fidget / jackin’ path on this one, sticking to a wonky sine bass to get those subs rattlin’. Mixed it up with synth shots, dicey vocal stabs and some blooperz; so get ready for that super dummy isht! Definitely my best work yet. Please feel free to use the comments section on the blog to serve up any constructive feedback. I’d love to know what you guys think!
