The guys from bassmusicblog have been delivering some heavy stuff, release after release. They’ve recently release there first single of 2011, ‘V’s Up’, which is already out on Stamp! Beats. This is the 10th single from our ’12 singles over 12 months’ project (April 2010 – March 2011). The release has seen reviews from Mixmag (4/5) and DJ Mag (8/10) and great DJ reactions from Crookers, Drop The Lime, Bassline Smith, Tomb Crew and many more. Some solid break wobble in this latest tune — nice to see Heavyfeet putting some of the dirty dirty back in his music! Check it outtttt!

Also coming from bassmusicblog, I.D. recently sent us something a bit off his normal path. He’s taken a break from his usual bass-heavy productions to put together a wonderful mix of house and disco, starting off at the treacly depths of 98BPM and working it’s way on up from there. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I’m sure you will too!

ohmy-comebackpost

Hello boys and girls! This is Oh My!, captain of the S.S. CYV™, and I’m hear to tell you a story (..that rhymed. Boom!). I’ve been thoroughly preoccupied with finishing up my last semester of school, ever. I’ve taken my last finals, given my last presentations, and written the last “essays” I will ever have to write in my life. Let me tell you, it feels amazing! On top of all this, I’ve been busy working on various design projects and producing tracks non-stop. I let the blog fall pretty behind — this post consists of submissions from more than 30+ e-mails. Some of these posts definitely deserve their own spotlight, so I apologize for this cluster-fuck of downloads, mixes, and soundcloud embeds.

Let’s begin, shall we?

There’s a Dancer in All of Us

dancer

It has certainly been awhile since I’ve made a post, so get ready for one of those deals where I just combine what should essentially be 7-8 different posts in to one mega post. Been workin’ a lot and “hittin’ the studio” as of late, so I’ve been a bit lazy on the blog side of things. Oops!

fukkk_offf_cover

First up is Fukkk Offf’s latest tunes from his WorldWide EP (and it has top-notch artwork too). First is a big-room electro choon with some definite techno influences. And the second is an electro-zapped shorty beat slung up with hot rhymes from sassy MC, Hazel. Git git git down!

Fukkk Offf – Brain Rock

(Molotov) Cocktail

dvDkK

In the past week I’ve definitely fallen behind on some blogging. I’m going to attempt to catch up by offering some music that touches down on a bunch of different genres — perhaps a “cocktail” of sorts. Not going to go into lengthy details on each track, just know that this is CYV™ and you best be grabbin’ all these things!

Discovered these cats through Soundcloud. This tune is a massive dub face-melter. They are also the reason for the awesome post image!
Dead Commies – Molotov3

Bass-filled R&B Jam to get them hunniez movin.
Heavyfeet ft. Rod Hotly & Kid Bliss – Last Two People

Red Squad always delivers. This is some quality fidget-grind with gangster vox sprinkled throughout.
RedSquad – Right Here

Jacked up fidget remake of Ava Rose’s “Say Yeah.” Has some tribal-esque vibe worked in too. Niiiice!
Ava Rose – Say Yeah (Jack Smith Bass Infected Remix)

Uh..so pretty much anything Renaissance Man touches turns to gold, so grab this bootleg rework of Windowlicker.
Aphex Twin – Windowlicker (Renaissance Man Bootcut)

Tech-house infused with a little bit of that jack jack jack! (Thanks Disturbed Beats!)
The Squatters Ft. Dutch Courage – Superfly (Little Bastard & ZubaGroove Remix)

This next track was my favorite out of the whole EP, but the rest are fantastic too. And again, thanks to Disturbed Beats for flowing me this one. Check out their blog for the rest!
Tombstone Ft. Larry Tee & Alexander Technique – Give ‘Em The Bizness (The Potato Heads Remix)

And this last one is a bit hard to define. I’d say it’s something along the lines of “Fidge-Hop.” It’s dope as all hell — perfect for droppin’ a hip hop vocal over. I might make an attempt in the near future! (And possibly an attempt to produce something in this realm)
Sean Taylor – Curious
