The Polish Ambassador is a beat machine from the future. Its now 2011 and The Polish Ambassador just finished transmitting his latest album to distribution centers all across the galaxy. Its human readable title is ‘Future, Sex, and Computers’. It has already been responsible for massive system failure in computer systems throughout the globe, the most heavily hit region to date has been Northern California. 22tape is producer Jared Dunne who hails from the lovely state of Colorado (or is it Chicago? His soundcloud leaves me guessing..). He just released his Mosaic Change Tone EP, and as far as the genre goes, I’d say it’s best to quote him on this one: “downbeat vinylicious hip hop with a smidge of glitch.” My favorite track from the EP, by far, is Saloon Shagger. Littered with smooth sexy saxaphones, delicious organic sounds, and a glitchy break beat, this track glides you through a boddy-poppin’ journey into absolute bliss!
This release enters the ring with knockout big-names like Flying Lotus and Krush — and boy is this kid a contender. It took me awhile to get around to posting this, and I apologize for sleeping on it so hard. Glad to let this EP see some CYV™ love because I’m sure there is greatness in store for young Dunne. Fantastic experimental stuff here folks, so do yourself a favor, and pick up this whole EP…for free!
Something I didn’t know about Mr. Oizo until recently is that he is also a film director and writer who goes by his real name – Quentin Dupieux. His latest film Rubber, which you can read more about here and here, is the world’s first killer tire movie!
A US release of the film is on its way but what interests me more is the music score which was produced by Mr. Oizo and Gaspard Auge (half of Justice). An EP for Rubber was just released on Ed Banger Records and just the fact that it is new material from the Justice camp makes it worth checking out. The title track ‘Rubber’ is pretty crazy, reminds me of ‘Justice – Stress’ it has lots of glitchy tweaks and distortion, dropped at the right time it’d get the crowd bonkers for sure. The Glitch Mob recently dropped the first remix of tracks from their Drink The Sea album, Fistful of Silence (Eskmo Remix). After massive feedback from people wanting to take a crack at a remix, the Remix It Like You Stole It competition was announced. Winners will have their remix featured with more well-known names in a full release for the Fall with all proceeds benefiting a charity for Haiti.

The Glitch Mob will celebrate the release in Fall 2010 during the band’s 25+ show US tour.
