Here today with Krush Groov’s first release, Bakupgrl. As you may remember from our CVS interview, Krush Groov is Barclay Crenshaw’s new Vinyl Format label with more focus on faster tempos and influenced heavily by Juke/Hype music. This release is the perfect blend of that infamous Dirtybird sound CVS is known for with a nice fast tempo miami bass touch, Big heavy booty shakin’ bass lines with that bakup s s s stutta’ vocal. The first time we heard the (Grizzl Detroit Dub) was at a Dirtybird party earlier this spring, I remember being shocked with the awesomeness and thinking that it must be something related to CVS/DB due to all the distinct sounds and styles of the tracks he produces.
