So I still love hip hop. I grew up listening to a lot of different stuff, ranging from the deep underground to your occasional top 40 jammer, and of course, bay area slap! So to start things off, I’m going to post this video from the Jacka, because well, its just gangster as fuck.

CYV™ got a little bit prettier today. I’ll be slowly working on things to make stuff a bit more crispy around here. When I get some free time I might even scrap this layout since the existing CSS is quite difficult to edit. Essentially what I’m saying is, things will only get better!

To christen this slightly improved version of the site, I’d like to pass along this really poppin’ dub hopper. Its got some nice 8-bit percussion / synth-work and then it gets ya with some subby bass and some great gangster vox. This one was just lying in my iTunes the other day and when it got play for the first time I immediately went to check out what it was…I was bobbin’ my head as soon as that bassline hit! I don’t really know much about these two cats, but I can link you to Mark Pritchard’s myspace and to the collective that Om’mas Keith is in, SARA. As usual, big up to Squeegie for this one.
